Cuervo Y Sobrinos are no strangers to dive watches nor bronze for that matter; checkout their stunning Torpedo Caribeño with its dual bronze and Titanium case construction or their 200m internal bezel diver the Robusto Buceador. The only reason I have yet to feature anything from this fine Swiss Latin brand is that they haven't released any new divers in the last 3 years. This will be their first external bezel diver. It has a stainless steel and titanium case with a unidirectional rotational divers bezel, which has been fitted with a sapphire crystal inlay. It measures 43mm and has a water-resistance of 600 meters.
By TLex LUMINOX have collaborated with Scott Cassell to create the new LUMINOX Deep Dive 1525 SCOTT CASSELL Special Edition dive watch. The Deep Dive 1525 Scott Cassell SE, has a 44mm stainless steel case, a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, a screw down crown with protector and patent pending bezel locking system, a screwed caseback, an automatic helium release valve, unidirectional rotational divers bezel, and a water-resistance of 500m.
The watch is ISO 6425 certified. It has an automatic movement, a strap extender for use over a wetsuit and LUMINOX's self-powered illumination system. It is distinguished from other Deep Dive 1500 series dive watches by its unique bezel grip and Sea Wolves UNLIMITED logo dial. The Swiss made dive watch is packaged in a waterproof gear box that can be used to store items safely on a dive boat. A portion of proceeds from sales of this model will support Sea Wolves Unlimited and its missions.

By TLex Many thanks to the reader in the Holland, who unearthed this interesting little diver. The GUY DAVID Diver sports a large 47mm stainless steel case and a water-resistance of 200 meters. At first glance it looks quite ordinary, but in fact it has quite a nice vintage inspired case with a cool side profile; I couldn’t tell you exactly where the inspiration came from, though. The case is given a touch of utility with large hex-key lug screws and pronounced coin edge bezel teeth.
There’s even a Seamaster style manual Helium escape valve. The crown, which is sans guard, gives it a vintage-mil vibe, which is furthered by its Mil-Sub dial layout and swords hands. The black bezel insert has large Arabic markers; I have to say I find them a little too much on this watch, they kind of spoil it for me. I’m not too crazy about the Cyclops either, and I’m afraid to say its mineral crystal all the way.
Beating away under the hood is a Japanese mechanical, a Miyota caliber; I would guess the 8215, but it could be the new 9015. Either way you can’t go far wrong. I have no idea, who Guy David is, most likely some fictitious character. I don't find myself reaching for the credit card, but that's not to say the watch is without merit; I like the case, the hex-key screws and its bezel, but it's ultimately let down by its lack of sapphire crystal.

By TLex Here's a sneak peek at a couple of technical drawing of the new ENNEBI Fondale BRONZO. The Fondale BRONZO as its name suggests will be constructed from bronze. This will be patinated bronze, so that the finish of the metal will have already been aged to produce warmer darker tones. The watch itself is based on the regular Fondale, however it will set itself apart from other Fondale not just by its case material, but with a first for ENNEBI . . .
SAPPHIRE This will be the first time the Italian watch company has used Sapphire crystal instead of organic crystal. Two Fondale BRONZO models will be produced. Ref. 9680, which will have a turning bezel and a water-resistance of 1000 meters and Ref. 9681, which will have a fixed bezel and a water-resistance of 500 meters.
OPTIONS A number options will be made available: Three dial colors; olive green, matt black or red-brown. Three dial markings: 3, 6, 6, 12 Arabic numerals with baton markers or 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 Arabic numerals with baton markers or 3,6,9, 12 Arabic numerals with triangular markers.
CROWN The crown will be made of bronze, but with a Palladium, Gold or Silver medal inlay, which could have either of the following designs: an ENNEBI logo, the Malta Cross, a 5-pointed star, a square and compass or a parachute and dagger.
CASEBACK The case back will have the Italian flag engraved on it and filled with green, white and red enamel; in the spaces between the flag and the reference, on request, it will be possible to engrave the name of the owner or a motto.
BEZEL The rotating bezel of Ref. 9680 will have one of the following pips used in a matching material to that of the crown medal. The design could take on either a Triangular pip, a Skull, a Divers Helmet, Star Cross or Parachute.
