JAEGER-LeCOULTRE Master Compressor Chronograph CERAMIC

By TLex Issued in a 500-piece Limited Edition, this sleek black precision instrument is the new JLC Master Compressor Chronograph Ceramic. Cleverly combing both chronograph and a dual-time display; it is housed in a high-tech 46mm ceramic case, topped by a Sapphire crystal - safeguarding it against unwanted scratches.



It isn't a true diver, but it does feature JLC's patented compression key guaranteeing optimal water resistance, a signature characteristic of all Master Compressor watches. A single half-turn of the key effectively over-compresses one of the crown’s four toric gaskets and locks it in a security position that prevents any accidental handling.



The watch Ref. Q205C570 is powered by a JLC Manufacture caliber 757 automatic movement, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour with 65 hrs of power-reserve. No less than 300 parts are required to drive the multiple functions of the watch, which is fitted with a JLC Trieste strap secured by a satin-brushed Stainless steel buckle. Pretty cool!

PANERAI Luminor SUBMERSIBLE Left-Handed TITANIO

By TLex This is the PANERAI Luminor Submersible Left-Handed Titanio AKA PAM569, which was shown by OP at SIHH last week. However there's no PR on it yet, so I only have few details.



The PAM569 has a Titanium case with a water-resistance of 300 meters. Sorry folks - I don't believe that this is an 8-day model as previously thought. Should be priced around 12500USD.



Features include: a special black waffle dial with beige lume on its hands and markers. The caseback has an engraving of the iconic torpedo submersible. Very nice!

CARTIER Calibre de Cartier DIVER 2ndLOOK

By TLex Here's another look at the new Calibre de Cartier DIVER, Cartier's first true divers watch if we are to dismiss the 100 meter Pasher Seatimer of a few years ago, not only that, but the Caliber de Cartier Diver complies with ISO 6425 for a divers watch.



Its round 42mm x 11mm (that's very slim for a 300m diver) case comes in either brushed Stainless steel (Ref. W7100056) or brushed and polished Rose Gold (Ref. W7100052). As mentioned earlier, its water resistance is a respectable 300 meters (1000ft / 30atm).



Divers features include: a DLC coated 120-click type unidirectional rotational divers bezel with a luminous dive-time scale, a faceted screwdown crown set with Cartier's signature blue spinel (synthetic gemstone).



The crown, which is a screwdown type is protected by detachable crown guard attached (as the lugs) are with flat head screws. The case back is secured by 8 screws; it's a shame that a proper threaded caseback wastn't used.



The dial has been designed for excellent legibility in the dark and has been applied with Swiss SuperLuminova to its hands and markers. The sword hands have been designed to be distguishable from each other, but the difference is too slight for my liking.



The watch is powered by a Cartier in-house automatic 1904-PS MC caliber with 27 jewels and a power reserve of 48 hours. It comes on either a black rubber divers strap or with a steel bracelet. Prices start from 5500euro for the steel version with a rubber strap.

AUDEMARS PIGUET Royal Oak Offshore DIVER WHITE CERAMIC

By TLex I'm a big fan of the last three iterations of the ROO Diver, but I'm never gonna be a fan of white ceramic, no matter how well it's done, sorry!



Positively glowing in white, the latest ROO Diver boasts an ultra-hard, ultra-light composite case. This is fitted with an anti-reflective treated Sapphire crystal and a Titanium anti-reflective Sapphire crystal caseback, a white ceramic bezel and screwdown crown and Titanium links (lugs).



It has a light silver-toned dial with AP's signature Méga Tapisserie pattern, marked out with white gold applied hour-markers and Royal Oak hands with luminescent coating (blue minutes hand).



Divers features include 300 meters of water-resistance and internal divers bezel with a light silver-toned rotating inner ring with a dive-time scale and zone from 60 to 15 minutes in blue.



The Royal Oak Offshore Diver White Ceramic Ref. 15707CB.OO.A010CA.01 is powered by an automatic AP Manufacture Caliber 3120. It is presented on a white rubber strap with Titanium pin buckle.

By TLex Beating away inside the new 44mm Stainless steel case of the AQUATIMER Chronograph is a reliable IWC 79320 caliber automatic chronograph movement with a 44hrs of power reserve. Functions include: stop times and aggregate timing up to 12 hours. The case has 300m of water-resistance.



The Aquatimer Chronograph is available with either a black or silver-plated dial with three sub-dials and a day and date display, despite these the dial looks surprisingly clean. The subtle colors and purer case form add further elegance.



And even with its slimmer external rotating bezel, the watch still looks pretty sleek despite the addition of a protective cover for the sliding clutch system at 9 o'clock.



Divers features include IWC's mechanical external / internal rotating divers bezels with SafeDive system. The watches come on either matching black rubber divers straps or Stainless-steel bracelets using IWC's latest bracelet quick-change system.

IWC Aquatimer AUTOMATIC

By TLex This the AQUATIMER Automatic, which includes Refs. IW329001/ 329002/ 329003/ 329004, the babies of the 2014 family with modest Stainless steel cases measuring just 42mm in diameter.



The simple three-hander is available with either a black or silver-plated dial with contrasting prominent green lume on the minute hand and internal dive-time scale. The watches are powered by IWC 30120 caliber, mechanical automatic movements with 42hrs of power reserve.



The Aquatimer Automatic now has a much more respectable 300m of water-resistance, an increase from 120m providing a larger safety margin when diving to great depths!



Further divers features include IWC's mechanical external / internal rotating divers bezels with SafeDive system. The watch come on either matching black rubber divers straps or Stainless-steel bracelets using IWC's latest bracelet quick-change system.

IWC Aquatimer CHRONOGRAPH Edition Expedition Jacques-Yves COUSTEAU

By TLex This is the AQUATIMER Chronograph Edition 'Expedition Jacques-Yves Cousteau' Ref. 376805, a traditional Aquatimer limited edition honoring one of the great pioneers of the deep.



As is typical of Cousteau editions the dial is in sea-blue dial with a small coral-red seconds hand in acknowledgment Cousteau's passion for coral reefs.



Features of the watch include: a Stainless steel case with 300 meters / 30 bar of water-resistant to 30 bar. The watch is technically identical to the Aquatimer CHRONOGRAPH. A chronograph complication on a divers watch can be used as reliable backup system during dives: as a means of measuring decompression stops.



The case back engraving shows Jacques Cousteau AKA Le Commandant wearing his trademark woolen beanie.



The Expedition Jacques-Yves Cousteau commemorates the fantastic voyage of discovery to the Galapagos archipelago undertaken by the champion of the oceans in 1971.

IWC Aquatimer CHHRONOGRAPH Edition 50 Years Science for GALAPAGOS

By TLex This is the Aquatimer Chronograph Edition '50 Years Science for Galapagos' Ref. IW379504 with its striking blue hands and markers.



Each watch case has been subjected to heat and pressure and bonded with rubber in a complex vulcanization process.



The Jubilee Edition is Limited to 500 pieces. It commemorates the Charles Darwin Research Station's 50th year of scientific work on the Galapagos Islands.



The watch is equipped with an IWC-manufactured 89365-calibre movement.



Features include: IWC's SafeDive system and flyback function. The chronograph is water-resistant to 30 bar / 300 meters.
