FRANCK MULLER Master Diving

Here’s something I never expected to see – a diver’s model from Franck Muller.

There hasn’t been an official announcement yet, but the Geneva based, Swiss brand known for its Grand Complications and Luxury watches did post some basic info on their website regarding the upcoming, Master Diving.

The Master Diving France Limited Edition (not sure why France?) has an unusual case design – kind of egg-shaped but ultimately vintage in style. It is fitted with a rotational ceramic diver’s bezel and boasts – wait for it – 100 meters of water-resistance. :-D

There’s no word on its movement but it’s likely to be Valjoux 7750 based. It has rubberized chrono-pushers which (alas) aren’t screw-down – hence the feeble WR.

FM say of the Master Diving that the three sub-dials can enable precise mastering of decompression’s stages and of the time, both at depth and on land. Yes, but it isn’t really up to the job if you ask me.

It comes on a black rubber diver’s rubber strap with a choice of 5 colored dials in; black, blue, orange, red or white.

WR aside, I don't really like this offering, but at least FM can say they have a diver’s model in their portfolio - or can they?!
