T•a•c•t•i•c•o ANKO for ClubOkieS

By TLex T•A•C•T•I•C•O Watches of Spain have collaborated with ClubOkieS, the Spanish watch forum for Seiko lovers, to create a tribute to the most elusive of historical Seiko dive watches, the original SEIKO 6159-7001, AKA the ‘Grand Seiko Diver’.

This Holy Grail of Seiko dive watches has been stunningly recreated as the new TACTICO Anko 1000M breathing life back into a design that would otherwise remain on the pages of history rather than of the grateful wrists of the enthusiasts of ClubOkieS!

Special features of the Limited Edition, Anko include: a Japan TMI SII NE15 movement by SEIKO, a dark grey sunburst effect dial with applied gold markers, a framed date window plus ANKO logo also in metallic gold.

Divers features include: a double domed Sapphire crystal with AR on its inner side, a screwdown caseback and crown, a unidirectional rotational divers bezel with metallic gold dive-time scale and a 1000 meters of water-resistant (tested in Germany).

So what's this thing made of? The crown, caseback cover and bezel are all made of 316L Stainless steel that has a combination brushed and polished finish. The bezel inlay and main crystal are both made of Sapphire. Both Viton and Teflon gaskets were used for sealing. BGW9 SLN was used the for dial and hands. A dark yellow SNL was used for bezel pearl.

Dimensions are as follows: bezel diameter is 42mm while the case diameter and thickness are 435mm and 15.25mm respectively. The case thickness without the Sapphire crystal is 14mm. The overall lug to lug length is just 48mm.

The Anko comes on a Solid 316L Stainless steel custom bracelet with divers extension clasp and is delivered as a kit along with a rubber divers strap, a NATO some tools; priced 475euro.
