Dive Watch Releases / Articles

By TLex Commemorating its 60th anniversary as one of the most iconic dive watches in history, ZODIAC’s famous Sea Wolf is back!

And it's newer, more technically advanced and comes in the form of two heritage styles (the Skin Diver 39mm x 13mm & Diver 40mm x 14mm) plus a Limited Edition - each offering multiple dial, bezel and strap combinations to suit all tastes!

Fist launched in 1953 as one of the world's first commercial dive watch collections, the Sea Wolf excelled, showcasing a slim profile, 660 feet of water-resistance and an instantly iconic design. The Sea Wolf was arguably the most definitive watch in ZODIAC's history.

Returning today, the new Sea Wolf has the same recognizable design with its utilitarian approach plus a reasonably attractive price point that should help garner it the same type following as its predecessor did!

Featuring 200 meters of water-resistance, a five-link Stainless steel bracelet, an automatic movement, a Sapphire crystal and a unidirectional rotational divers bezel with a K1 hardened crystal inlay, the Sea Wolf conveys the Zodiac’s commitment to design continuity by blending heritage design with the latest advancements that the Swiss watch industry has to offer. It’s a shame, though that the Sea Wolf's WR has made no advancement in over 60 years - come on!

However, the 2015 Sea Wolf collection is powered by the STP 1-11 automatic movement, featuring a 44-hour power reserve. Developed in 2012 by Swiss Technology Production SA, the 1-11 automatic three-hand movement –

boasts more than 100 individual components that have been constructed and tested by hand in a custom-created Swiss assembly line; each movement undergoes various quality tests to ensure the highest quality is achieved, making the STP 1-11 the best-in-class Swiss made automatic movement.

Prices for the new 2015 ZODIAC Se Wolf start from 995USD – 1195USD. They are available to purchase online WatchStation. OceanicTime has no affiliation with WatchStation. .
