HELBERG CH8 [70s style in sunburst steel or bronze]

By TLex Last year H2O Watches caused a fair amount of buzz with the Helberg CH6, not only was it released at a competitive price-point and with a generous amount of accessories included, but it was a really great looking modern-retro diver.

This year H2O Watches were determined to out-do themselves with the release of the CH8. The 1970s Breil Manta inspired diver promises to offer even more watch, more accessories and more finely tuned details such as its stunning sunburst-effect case finish.

Of course the CH8 also offers a wide array of choice for dial color, handsets, bezel and crystal types as well as case materials and finishes - a happily recurring theme with all H2O and Helberg watches.

The CH8's case will be available in either: 316L Stainless steel or Copper bronze. Its dimensions include: a diameter of 43mm (44mm inc. bezel) x 15.10mm (flat crystal) / 18.80mm (domed) with a lug-to-lug measurement of 52mm and a lug-width of 24mm.

Divers features include: 2 types of unidirectional divers bezels - one in either solid Stainless steel or Copper bronze (model depending) or with a Sapphire crystal inlay - in either black or black and orange, a flat or 4mm domed Sapphire crystal and a water-resistance of 100bar / 1000 meters.

The CH8 is powered by a Japanese made Miyota 9015 automatic caliber. Dial colors include: black, marine blue or drab olive. The black dial can be had with or without a date-window.

Expect pricing to be in the same region as the CH6 and with similar line of included accessories such as ISOfrane rubber and Maddog leather.

The caseback of the CH8 will feature a beautifully engraved Manta ray motif, a nod of recognition to the 1970s Breil Manta from which it was inspired.

The only question that remains is, how to configure your CH8. It's a sunburst brushed copper bronze case, solid bronze bezel and marine blue dial without the date window for me! Pre-order yours HERE . . .
