By TLex DOXA's famous orange-faced SUB dive watch is preparing for an epic underwater mission with Fabien Cousteau and his Mission 31 team of Aquanauts, who will be on marathon, 31 day saturation dive in the Aquarius, the world's only underwater research lab, deployed 63 feet beneath the sea off the coast of Key Largo, Florida.
The 31 'Mission 31 SUB Professional' watches are going to be hand delivered to the Fabien and his team by Dirk Cussler, the son of best-selling author Clive Cussler and co-author of several novels featuring the exploits of Dirk Pitt, the fictional, ocean-loving adventurer, who famously wore a DOXA dive watch on his exploits.
A few lucky DOXA fans (300, if my maths is correct) will also be able to get hold of one the commemorative DOXA Mission 31 SUB Professional watches. Follow the link HERE to pre-order yours.
Splashdown for Mission 31 will commence on June 1, and Cousteau's team will emerge from the mission on July 2. This will be Cousteau's first saturation dive making him the first Cousteau of his generation to become an aquanaut. You can follow the Mission 31's progress HERE or watch the mission live, 24-hours a day starting on June 1st HERE.
