H2O Kalmar TUNGUM FixedBezel

INTRODUCING the new H2O Kalmar TUNGUM FixedBezel. This is not just a new model for H2O, but the forerunner to H2O’s new line in exotic metal divers, which will include further Tungum models with rotational divers bezels as well as a Mokume Gane FixedBezel diver. The TUNGUM FixedBezel is based on the same 45mm (46mm inc. bezel) x 17.6mm case with a 3000m of water-resistance as the regular Kalmar, but instead of the traditional rotational divers bezel it has a fixed bezel. The Kalmar FixedBezel does not have an HEV either.



The Kalmar TUNGUM FixedBezel features a Tungum case, bezel, crown guard and custom CNC buckle. The crown and exhibition caseback are made from anamorphic DLC coated Titanium. As the watch is fitted with an exhibition caseback its water-resistance has been slightly decreased to 2000m, which is indicated on its caseback. If desired the caseback could be switched to a solid version which would allow for 3000 meters of water-resistance. The DLC exhibition caseback affords a spectacular view onto the watch's Swiss made ETA 2824-2 automatic movement with a custom SuperLuminova applied H2O rotor. .



TUNGUM The Tungum alloy that the H2O Kalmar TUNGUM FixedBezel and its various components is constructed from is a relatively unused material in the watch-making industry. In fact only one other company is using it. Apart from being an incredibly attractive material with a lustrous appearance of 22 carat gold; Tungum alloy is well suited to marine environments. It is non-magnetic and non-sparking and is highly corrosion resistant to seawater. It is used commercially for high pressure gas pipeline systems.



AVAILABILITY There are just 9 pieces of the Kalmar TUNGUM FixedBezel available for the moment. The watch will come on a custom H2O black Horween ‘Shell Cordovan’ strap with black stitching.
