You probably need another iteration of the Divers Sixty-Five like you need a whole in the head? Or at least like you need hole in your hand-crafted Japanese denim.
The Divers Sixty-Five has to be Oris’ most prolific model in decades; spawning a ton of model variants as well as limited and special editions watches.
CLEANUP, HODINKEE, HONEY, MOVEMBER, REDBAR; even one for a Taiwanese VIOLINIST. I have posted more than 20 Diver Sixty-Five posts!
So here’ the latest; a collaboration with the Japanese raw denim manufacturer, Momotaro to create yet an exclusive version of the iconic Divers Sixty-Five.
Every pair of Momotaro Jeans is made from denim weaved on vintage shuttle looms in the company’s factories. Details are sewn by hand to ensure quality and durability.
The 40mm Stainless steel watch comes with a bronze bezel and a strap crafted from Momotaro’s high-quality, ultra-durable indigo denim, decorated with the brand’s signature white battle stripes.
The watch comes supplied in a denim travel pouch, also crafted from Momotaro’s high-quality, ultra-durable indigo denim – again with Momotaro’s signature stripes.
The new Oris x Momotaro Divers Sixty-Five ref. 01 733 7707 4337-Set has a Swiss retail price CHF 2,100CHF. It is available as of May 2020.
BTW in addition to the special set, Oris are also offering a FREE Momotaro jeans bag with every purchase of the watch – details are on their website.
Thoughts? Not fussed about the jeans tbh, but the strap does look nice, but you have to buy the watch to get one.
