Linde Werdelin debuts a new case material, unveiling their first entire case fabricated in their in-house, pioneering 3-Dimensional Thin Ply Carbon AKA 3DTP™.
Weighing in at a mere 60 grams, the Oktopus Moon 3DTP™ is now the lightest model that Linde Werdelin has ever produced.
It weighs a whole two grams less than their SpidoLite 3DTP™, making it an ideal companion for all your aquatic and subaquatic exploits – in this respect it can reach depths of 300m.
LW’s proprietary 3DTP™carbon used for the highly technical case is layered in sheets to ensure maximum lightness as well as durability and houses a custom made Swiss movement.
Setting a new standard for the LW Oktopus collection moving forward, the bezel has been refined and is this further integrated into the case, sitting at a steeper angle towards the outer case. The watch’s 5-layer skeletonised dial is comprised of a rehaut and top layer with circular satin finishing while its hands are in Titanium color with satin finish and Luminova.
The lower dial deck is with circular Côte de Genève Dial with large numerals, 3, 9, 12, in blue with Luminova and cool grey hour and minute indexes.
Meanwhile the bespoke movement boasts LW’s famous in-house photorealistic moonphase complication, which was originally conceived and developed in 2009 together with renowned Danish master watchmaker Svend Andersen of Andersen Geneve. The watch is delivered on a blue rubber strap. MSRP is a £16,000! On the plus side the sterling is currently the weakest it’s been against the greenback since 1985!Thoughts? LW continues to wow us with their unique take on a moon-phase diver; a masterpiece both technically and aesthetically. But what do you think?
