FORTIS Marinemaster M-40 [inspired by nature]

This is the delightful new Marinemaster M-40 in Woodpecker Green! Yes, Woodpecker Green is hardly a color that screams marine world but the colorful new M-40 collection to which this belongs was inspired by nature. The new Marinemaster family comprises of two Models, the M-40 which comes in four colors inspired by the natural world around us – that is for those of us who are not in an urban jungle. There’s’ Rockstone Gray for the mountaineer, Woodpecker Green for the forester, Serenity Blue for the sailors and divers, and Snow White perhaps for one of the seven dwarves. The second model in the 2021 Marinemaster family is the M-44 which we saw on Friday, delivered in a diver-esque Amber Orange, it makes no bones about its intent. Like its big brother, the M-40 is designed for all types of outdoorsman but thanks its self-assured specification would perhaps make an excellent diver’s model. It is equipped with a bidirectional Gear Bezel and features the Fortis Lock System. In addition it has a screw-down crown and case-back and is water-resistant to 300 meters. Again we see the use of recycled steel (like the M-44) used for the M-40's 40mm case. Meanwhile its dial feature hand applied indices and a logo saturated in Superluminova X1 and the pattern gently mirrors the Fortis “O. All models are also available with either a Stainless-steel Block Bracelet and the Slide Clasp or the Fortis Horizon rubber strap in a dial matching color. Finally the new Marinemaster M-40 is powered by the chronometer-standard, automatic UW-30 mechanical movement. MSRP is 2,850USD. Thoughts? Fortis are back in a big way – both models in the new Marinemaster collection should prove to be a big hits. But what do you think?
