ORIS Divers Sixty-Five GLOW

Oris’s new retro grab ‘n’ glow diver’s watch is here!

There are several evergreen designs in the Oris collection. One of which is the Divers Sixty-Five, a retro model that is a direct descendant of their earliest diver’s watch, which was created in 1965.

The latest iteration of this vintage silhouette is this with its gradient gray dial, which stands out thanks to the use of high-contrast turquoise lume applied to the its; hands, hour markers and triangle bezel dot at 12 o’clock.

This glows a bright turquoise green in low lighting conditions such as those found underwater, but even in daylight, the contrasts in the materials and colors is said to offer an excellent amount of clarity to the dial.

Beyond these distinguishing features, the model is the well-known, reliable 40mm Stainless steel Divers Sixty-Five which is duly equipped with a unidirectional rotating diver’s bezel as well as a screw-down security crown.

The watch has modest water-resistance up to 10 bar (100 meters) as in truth, the Divers Sixty-Five has always been more a diver in spirit so is in a reality more of a desk diver.

Its movement is a Swiss Made automatic mechanical, and it comes on a either a black leather strap or a Stainless steel link bracelet with a folding clasp.

The new Divers Sixty-Five Glow is available as of September 2021 with a Swiss retail price of 1’900CHF (strap) or 2’100CHF (steel).

Thoughts? These things are literally pouring out of the woodwork – of the countless iterations, this might be the nicest we’ve seen. But what do you think?
