MAURICE LACROIX Aikon Venturer BRONZE

Maurice Lacroix is set to release their first ever bronze diver. ML’s Aikon family already includes a non-diving bronze model which was also released this year.

To be honest I’m not a huge fan of the VENTURER largely because its uses an integrated lug system so that third party straps are out of the question.

Otherwise it doesn’t do much for me even in bronze – but it is interesting to see so many mainstream brand’s continuing to adopt bronze.

Basic spec. includes a 43mm Bronze case with 300 meters of water-resistance plus all the typical diving accoutrements: sapphire crystal, unidirectional diver's bezel plus a screw-down case-back and crown.

Power comes from an automatic ML Caliber 115 with 38 hours of power-reserve plus a date function. Strap options include 25mm stitched leather or green Silicon with bronze ML logo on the lugs.

The Aikon Venturer Bronze is a Limited Edition of just 500 examples – these will set you back 2’490€. So far as I know green is the only dial color available - a classic choice for bronze.

Thoughts? I prefer the steel, but it's still a bit of a yawn fest tbh. What do you think?
