TAG Heuer AQUARACER Caliber 7 GMT BATMAN

The other day it was Zorro & Bond – today it’s Batman!

TAG has just dropped a new Batman GMT. The new model joins an existing Pepsi model which came out in 2017.

Powered by the Caliber 7, the 42mm in diameter, Stainless steel Aquaracer GMT comes with a 3D horizontally striped dial in a sunray brushed blue.

TAG has slotted the Cal. 7 GMT into their Aquaracer diver’s family so it has all the exact same traits found on other models in the lineup.

It has; a water-resistance to 300m, and is fitted with: a screw-down case-back and crown, an AR-treated Sapphire crystal and makes use of brightly glowing SLN on its hands, markers and bezel.

The bezel’s bi-color insert is made from aluminum btw while the case-back gets TAG’s iconic deep sea diver’s helmet lest we forget that it’s an Aquaracer.

Power comes from a TAG Cal. 7 automatic movement with a GMT and date complication, a power-reserve of 46hrs and a beat-rate of 28,800 vph.

Finally the watch is presented on TAG’s 3-link Stainless steel bracelet with push-button deployant clasp and diver’s extension.

The new Aquaracer Calibre 7 GMT ref. WAY201T.BA0927 from TAG has an MSRP of 3’000USD and is available, now.

Thoughts? It’s a little ironic cos’ I could probably do with one these days but the cyclops has to go. I’d rather live in ignorance.

It’s just as good looking (perhaps not as classic), but a more affordable proposition than the Rolex GMT-Master Black ‘n’ Blue.
