SEIKO Prospex SOLAR DIVER Save the Ocean SE

Did anyone else see the clouds suddenly part allowing shafts of bright sunlight to shine down from the heavens to the sounds the Hallelujah Chorus?! No?

Introducing the new Solar Diver ‘’Save the Ocean’’ Special Edition ref. SBDJ045, the latest addition to Seiko’s Save the Ocean COLLECTION that already includes: a Turtle, a Samurai and a Solar Chrono.

This is the SOLAR Diver with its special blue wave pattern dial and matching blue bezel (signature features of all Save the Ocean watches). It is otherwise like any other Solar Diver.



Its case is constructed with an inner-stainless steel module with an outer casing in hardened black plastic. It is fitted with a curved crystal.

Divers features include: 200m of water-resistance making it suitable for scuba-diving, anti-magnetic-resistance, a one-way bezel and a screw down crown and case-back.

Power comes from a Solar-driven Driving system, the Seiko Caliber V157 which has an accuracy of ±15 seconds per month and an operating time of for approx. 10 months from fully charged.



Its functions include an overcharge prevention function as well as a quick-start function. Further features of the watch include: hands and dial markers with Seiko LumiBrite.

The watch case has a height of 45.8mm, width of 46.7mm and depth of just 11.8mm. Its total weight is 99g.

The SEIKO Prospex Solar Diver Save the Ocean Ref. SBDJ045 has a Japanese MSRP of 53,000 JPY+TAX.
