Victorinox I.N.O.X. Professional DIVER

Here’s a really cool diver that is literally crying out for an automatic movement. It comes with an interesting albeit totally unnecessary accessory that I’ll tell you all about a little later on.

The I.N.O.X. Professional Diver from Victorinox is a certified diver’s watch that meets the rigorous NIHS 92-11 Swiss watchmaking standards as well as ISO 6425 norms for a diving watch.

In fact it has passed no less than 130 stringent diving-focused horological tests specifically developed to guarantee its resistance and functionality - far exceeding the above required criteria.

While these tests confirm the I.N.O.X. Pro Diver’s capability and ability to meet the vital needs of a professional divers watch it isn’t exactly what I’d call – hardcore!

Water-resistance is restricted to 200 meters, it doesn’t have an HEV and it is even offered with ‘’jelly fish’’ bumper, an optional safety feature kinda’ like the protective case you might bung on a cellphone.

This scratch-resistant bumper has been designed to perfectly hug the contours of the watch, accentuating its domed shape. It is available in four colors from bold red, blue, black or an understated translucent gray.

I’m not too sure how well these bumpers will go down with serious dive watch folk – besides this they also render the divers bezel useless.

Back to the watch itself – its case is in Stainless steel measuring 45mm. It is fitted with a unidirectional divers bezel and a scratch-resistant, triple-coated anti-reflective Sapphire crystal.

Further features include: a screw-down crown and case-back, a Swiss Quartz Cal. with end-of-life-indicator and a date and military time function plus blue lume.

The watch has 4 dial colors (shown) and comes with either a Stainless steel bracelet with a folding buckle and a divers extension - priced 695USD or an extendable genuine rubber strap featuring gadroons to stretch over a diving suit – priced 595USD.
