DAVOSA Ternos Professional TT AUTO

I’m not sure how many points this redesigned Ternos Professional TT Automatic with its eye-catching bicolor ceramic bezel would earn for originality – there’s no escaping the derivative style of its design.

However it’s still a pretty decent looking diver - and in case, you were worried that Davosa weren’t capable of doing original - HERE’s proof that they can!

Firstly the name TT is no reference to the Audi TT or Manx TT Race from which the car takes its name but simply stands for Tradition and Technology.

DAVOS have turned their attention towards one of their bestselling models, the Ternos and updated it with (for starters) a new bicolor ceramic bezel –

available in either black and a vivid blue or a more subtle black and grey combo, and for those of us who love every color as long as it’s black, a traditional all-black version.

The Ternos Professional TT Automatic is the consummate diver and as such is fitted with an automatic Helium Escape Valve, a unidirectional rotational divers bezel and a depth-rating to 500 meters.

DAVOSA actually describe the humble Helium Valve as ‘’intelligent’’ being able to independently recognize when a critical gas pressure is reached inside the watch,

thus ensuring continuous pressure equalization so that the curved Sapphire crystal with its internal, anti-reflective coating is not forced out of the case.

I think that’s just a regular HEV, guys – nice spin on it, though ;) Nevertheless the new colored 15-minute scale now provides a visual aid to the diver – I think you’ll agree it looks most striking in blue.

The watch case is in surgical-grade Stainless steel measuring 42mm in diameter with a height of 15.5mm.

The new dial opening and ceramic bezel have been minimally optimized – while markers have been given finer contours, and the hands are now larger and longer so are more are in tune with the dial than before.

Nothing has changed inside: a high-quality Swiss automatic SW200 movement still powers the Ternos Professional TT. MSRP is 798euro.
