STROM AGONIUM Nethuns II DIVER

Something a little different, today; however with some sense of familiarity, is the latest creation from designer, philosopher, watchmaker, Daniel Strom of Strom Agonium.

And that’s because this latest member of the BRONZE diver club immediately evokes Jules Verne’s world of 20,000 Leagues ‘’Under The Sea’’ with its steam-punk styled nautical design that would be right at home on the wrist a Captain Nemo.

Like other watches in the Agonium family, the Nethuns II which is named after the Etruscans god of water comprises of two cases. A robust and hermetically sealed Stainless steel inner case that houses a Swiss automatic mechanical movement and –

an intricately handcrafted outer case made of either: CuSn8 Bronze, Gold, 925 Solid Silver, Palladium or even Platinum. This is topped with a domed anti-reflective treated Sapphire crystal and a hypoallergenic Titanium curved caseback underneath.

A sturdy screwdown crown at 9 o’clock serves to adjust an inner diving bezel, offering a particularly sophisticated solution that prevents any inadvertent handling and water-resistance to 200 meters that is not just a beautifully sculpted timepiece but a fully functioning diver’s watch according to industry standards.

The Nethuns II Diver is presented on either a custom black rubber divers or a brown leather strap with a pin buckle in either CuSn8 Bronze, Gold, 925 Solid Silver, Palladium or Platinum. Prices start from 9999CHF.

Well, what do you think, guys? You're always asking for something different - here it is! While it does speak to me, I would have liked to have seen the steam-punk theme continue onto the case back with perhaps a sculpted porthole with a view on to a jaw droppingly decorated movement.
