ORIS Aquis Date CERMET

By TLex Don't be fooled by the elegant design, the gold bezel and the feminine white dial; this is a high-spec divers watch that can hold its own every bit as much, living the high life above the waves as it can below them!



The cermet bezel that has been constructed from a metal and ceramic alloy that combines the structural strength of ceramic with all the glitter of gold, that the new Oris Aquis Date Cermet is endowed with -

is far more than just an aesthetic detail. It has the same lightweight, scratch-resistant properties that have made ceramic such a popular choice of material for use in luxury divers watches of late.



Further divers features of the new Oris Aquis Date Cermet include: a Sapphire crystal domed on both sides and with anti-reflective coating on its inside, a unidirectional rotational divers bezel with said golden Cermet inlay and five minute dive-time scale,

and a 36mm multi-piece Stainless steel case with a screwdown Stainless steel crown and Sapphire crystal caseback that allows for a water-resistance to 30 bar/300m.



It's great to see that Oris haven't copped out like so many other watchmakers do when creating ladies divers and have given the watch a proper WR-rating rather than fobbing of the ladies version with a measly 100m.



The girls haven't been sold short on the watch's movement, either! Oris exclusively make mechanical watches, so the Aquis Date is powered by an automatic mechanical movement, the Cal. 733, based on SW 200-1, with date at 6 o’clock.

Power is maintained by Oris' signature Red Rotor, which can be viewed through the exhibition caseback.



Least we forget that this has been designed for the fairer sex, a white dial with applied indices and Rose-Gold plated hands and applied markers, both with white SuperLumiNova inlay and a white rubber strap add just the right amount of femininity. The Swiss Retail Price is 1600CHF.
