By TLex This sexy looking beast is the Black Phantom, which in my opinion is the the nicest (certainly the coolest) model released in TAG's new 2015 AQUARACER 300M Ceramic collection.
Let's start with the dial, which is in sandblasted anthracite with horizontal streak effect. It features black-gold hand-applied polished and faceted markers with gray lume, black-gold polished and faceted hour and minute hands also with gray lume and black-gold polished counters. For reference; black-gold is only the name of plating bath.
Its 43mm case and its components are in Grade 2 Titanium with a sandblasted black titanium carbide coating.
Divers features include: a black titanium carbide coated unidirectional turning bezel with black faceted ceramic, engraved, gray lacquered numerals and an SLN dot at 12 o’clock -
Sandblasted black titanium carbide coated screwdown crown and caseback with diving bell engraving, an anti-reflective scratch-resistant Sapphire crystal with magnifying lens at 3 and a water-resistance to 300 meters.
The watch is of course powered by a TAG Heuer Calibre 16 automatic chronograph movement. It is presented on a black nylon strap with gray contrasting stitching and black lining with a black titanium carbide coated G2 Titanium folding divers clasp with safety push-buttons.
MSRP is 4050USD or 3000 USD for the three-hands Calibre 5 version.
