By TLex TAG Heuer has joined as Official Timekeeper of Big Wave Tour that features the world’s best big wave surfers.
The WSL (World Surf League), formerly the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) has been championing the world’s best surfing since 1976.
A multi-year partnership will see TAG Heuer inject its #DontCrackUnderPressure advertising campaign into the heart of big wave surfing,
serving as the Official Watch of the tour, and supporting the “Biggest Wave” and “Biggest Wipeout” components of the annual WSL Big Wave Awards.
TAG Heuer is looking to connect with young people, with the support of their celebrity friend and watersports enthusiast, Kai Lenny, who lives in Maui.
Kai is a big wave surfer, stand-up paddle surfer and racer, surfer, tow-in surfer, windsurfer, and kitesurfer.
He can be seen in the images below sporting the TAG Heuer Aquaracer 300M Calibre 5 Automatic 41mm WSL Big Wave Tour Steel. Ref.WAY211B.FC6363
TAG Heuer is the first luxury brand to enter the Surf world. Their motto #DontCrackUnderPressure seems to fit perfectly with the Big Wave Tour,
but I’m not sure about the current line of Aquaracers – they aren’t really rugged enough, are they?
