By TLex Finally, a luminous bezel pip! With almost 60 years of evolution, Breitling have just released the new 2015 Superocean II collection, which has been updated with a redesigned dial and bezel, has a new slimmer profile making it lighter and more comfortable on the wrist, but more importantly, now has a 'proper' divers bezel with a luminous 12hr marker!
The new Superocean II collection includes 3 new models; the Superocean II 44 with 1000 meters of water-resistance, the Superocean II 42 with 500 meters of water-resistance and the Superocean II 36 with 200 meters of water-resistance. All three models are powered by the Breitling Calibre 17, an officially COSC chronometer-certified automatic movement.
The Superocean II's new Stainless steel case is equipped with a screwdown crown guaranteeing water-resistance to depths ranging from 200 to 1000 meters (660 to 3300 ft). It comes in either a 44 or 42mm case with a satin-brushed (44mm) or polished (42mm) finish and is fitted with either a black or blue dial with a matching bezel and rubber divers strap.
The Superocean II 36 comes with either a polished Stainless steel case, which is available in either a black or a feminine white rubber-cladding. Its water-resistance is 200 meters.
A unidirectional rotational divers bezel that is rubber-molded with a Stainless steel a coin-edge grip - has a dive-time-scale with large numerals, a countdown of the last 15 mins. of dive-time and a triangle with a luminescent marker at 12 o’clock.
The watches comes on a newly designed version of Breitling's Ocean Racer rubber divers strap with its distinctive row of portholes surrounded by an embossed circular pattern - in black, blue and white (36).
