EDMOND Pole Guardian 200M [time for PIONEERs]

By TLex Introducing the Pole Guardian, one of two exciting new collections (that includes the SPRAY), from Swiss watchmaker, Edmond Watches, the same people behind the BOOSTER!

Okay, let’s start by getting the obvious out of the way with; the Pole Guardian isn’t a dive watch. However what it is - is a unique open-work adventurer’s watch that pays tribute to the pioneers of the poles and one that is endowed with many of the same great features that we appreciate in a good diver or sports watch; such as: a sturdy case with a tough Sapphire crystal and a crown-protection system, highly-legible lumed hands and markers and a reliable Swiss mechanical movement adjusted for accuracy.

Designed to withstand high latitudes and extreme conditions, the Pole Guardian features Edmond’s new exclusive dial system that indicates time on a 24-hour scale. In addition to this, it also features Edmond Watches’ Smart Locker technology for water-resistance.

The new optimized Smart Locker system is a functional system that protects the crown. It allows the wearer to operate the winder without directly impacting on the crown. Essentially the lever indexes the crown at different positions of adjustment. The crown easily allows the watch to be wound if necessary. It also makes the crown easy to unlock without pulling it into the setting position.

The Pole Guardian's unique dial display indicates (thanks to original kinematics) the real time in succession of days and nights ie.24 hour, 00h, 6h, 9h, 12h, 18h and 21h respectively. This would be particularly useful to anyone living or working in an environment of either perpetual daylight or darkness such as submariners or polar explorers, who might otherwise become disorientated from such extremes.

Technical Specifications of the Pole Guardian include: a 44mm x 14mm 316L Stainless steel case with optional PVD coating, a Sapphire crystal, a Sellita SW200 automatic movement with 25 jewels, a customized Power Ring, 40hrs of power reserve - beating at 28 800 alt/h and with an accuracy tested to within -2 - +3 seconds per day –

a genuine 24hr dial with hands and indexes in SuperLuminova and water-resistance to 200 meters. It is presented on either a bracelet or rubber strap with a double fastening to the case
and a folding clap.
