By TLex Let's get straight to the nitty-gritty, this latest offering from New Zealand watchmaker, Magrette boasts a CuSn8 bronze alloy case with a water-resistance of 500 meters. The Miyota 9015 powered fixed bezel diver is called the Vantage - that's Vantage as in the Aston Martin, not vintage.
Further divers features of the Vantge include: a fully functional pressure escape valve, protecting the watch against pressure differences that can occur when using a decompression chamber i.e it is safe for SAT-diving. Also a highly scratch-resistant double-domed Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on its inside and a Magrette signed screwdown crown positioned at 4 o'clock.
Special features of the Vantage include: a case constructed from CuSn8 Bronze alloy with a brushed finish, a Sapphire crystal exhibition caseback in DLC coated Stainless steel and a sandwich dial with partially cut out markers.
The black version's hands and dial are applied with C3 SuperLuminova. The brown variant is applied with 'Vintage Radium' colored lume on its hands and markers.
Under the hood of the Vantage is a 24-jewel Miyota 9015 automatic mechanical movement running at 28.800 BHP with a hacking seconds hand.
The regular price is 685USD, the pre-order price is 616USD with a 150USD deposit to secure your order from the first production batch. This will be deducted from the total price later on.
The watch is Limited to 500 pieces, Worldwide - divided between black and brown dial versions. The first deliveries are expected in May 2015.
