By TLex Ulysse Nardin have released a beautiful Limited Edition of their all new Marine Diver as five time principal sponsor of the Monaco Yacht Show.
Starting with the 2014 Marine Diver Monaco LE's watery blue dial. This has a yacht motif in a pattern with UN's iconic anchor emblem proudly displayed at 2 o’clock and a sub-seconds indicator at 6 o'clock, which has been deliberately over-sized, so that its wearer can see that the watch is operating correctly at all times.
The impressive 44mm dial display is with large hour-markers with a red stripe and hands with a white luminescent coating - also with a bold red stripe, which is echoed on the Marine Diver's blue rubber divers strap.
Its 300 meter water-resistant case features a screwdown crown, caseback and unidirectional rotational divers bezel. The crown is fitted with a claw-shaped rubber molding allowing for extra grip particularly, when wearing a divers glove. The chunky 'saw-tooth' divers bezel features a grooved rubber molded inlay in a wave-pattern with dive-time scale in steel.
The watch is powered by an in-house UN Manufacture UN-26 caliber, automatic movement with a power reserve of 42 hours. Its functions include: a date aperture at 6 o’clock and a power-reserve indicator at 12 o’clock.
Ulysse Nardine have recently been acquired by KERING. The group generated revenues of €9.7 billion in 2012 with 33000 employees and are present in more than 120 countries. UN have signed an agreement allowing Kering to acquire 100% of their capital with them joining Kering's Luxury Jewellery & Watches division that includes brands such as; Girard-Perregaux and JeanRichard.
