DOXA Sub 1500T Project AWARE 2

By TLex We know well enough what a sorry state our oceans are in; there are many conservation issues concerning them, however two of them that can be positively affected by scuba divers are those of marine debris and the worrying decline of shark populations.

The Project AWARE Foundation is a growing movement of scuba divers that are working together to protect our oceans, they have decided to continue their partnership with DOXA to equip their team members with DOXA watches and to offer a new Limited Edition SUB 1500T with a portion of the watches' price being donated to the foundation. DOXA are also offering a 200USD discount making this the most affordable DOXA SUB, today!

The Limited Edition of 300 pieces has been hand assembled in Switzerland. It has a 45mm x 15mm satin finished 316L Stainless case. Of its many divers features is; a unidirectional rotational divers bezel, constructed of solid Stainless steel with US Navy maximum no decompression limit times (engraved in feet), a Helium escape valve, a scratch-resistant, anti-reflective 3mm domed Sapphire crystal, a screwdown crown and caseback and a water-resistance to a depth of 5000 feet.

It is powered by a high grade 25 jewel self-winding Soprod Alternance 10 Swiss made movement with a hacking seconds function, 28'800 alternations per hour (4Hz) and 42 hours of power reserve. The movement has been decorated by DOXA. It is protected by an Incabloc anti-shock system. Functions inc: hours, minutes, seconds and a quick-set date at 3 o'clock. The watch's hands are a replica of the original 1967 SUB's hands filled with SuperLuminova and featuring the DOXA's iconic dwarf hour hand.

To give the new DOXA Sub 1500T Project Aware 2 a more modern look and feel, the bracelet is now attached by screws rather than spring-bars. It also features a ratcheting dive-suit extension, allowing you to adjust it with your finger and thumb whilst the watch is on your wrist.

  1. I've always known I wanted a Doxa, but could never decide on the model. This one put me over the edge. I didn't like the dark blue dial they did last year, but this one just speaks to me.
