By TLex Here's a cool new diver project that pays humble tribute to the greatness of the 'Seiko Diver'!Its design doesn't reflect that of any one particular model, rather taking inspiration from any number of Seiko divers from the past few decades. And whilst the design of the watch is clearly vintage, it also throws a few contemporary elements into the mix.
Its 44mm x 14mm (approx) Stainless steel case will have a brushed finish on top with mirror-polished case sides. Divers features include: a signed screw-down crown, a domed Sapphire crystal, a 120-click type divers bezel with a ceramic insert and a water-resistance of 300 meters / 30 atm. The bezel insert will have luminous markers, although I am not quite sure how they are going to pull that off?
Its dial is in grey with a metalic sunburst effect. The metal hands and dial markers will be applied with Superluminova. This is a Spanish project hence the Spanish dial text. The watch will be powered by a 6R15 equivalent movement by TMI. It will come with two 22mm straps: a Nato and Caucho, and likely an option for a solid steel bracelet. Only 150 numbered pieces will be made. Price 399€+shipping. Stay tuned for more soon . . .
