An expedition to the Fiji Islands to photograph the sharks of the Pacific was followed by an expedition to South Africa, where he documented the special feeding techniques of Great White sharks. Muller says he likes to photograph them for concrete reasons – namely, that they are becoming extinct.
“We don't know for sure whether our children will have the chance to experience these wonderful creatures themselves”, says Muller. “I want to document what we are in danger of losing through our mindless actions as human beings, and to show people the astounding beauty of the underwater world.”
