AUDEMARS Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Diver FORGED CARBON

By TLex These could be the first official images of the new ROO Diver Forged Carbon to surface on the web. Audemars Piguet have used the specially engineered composite material for a couple of years now, they made a very cool Team Alinghi version of the ROO, which incidentally is currently celebrating its 20th Anniversary.

I'm still awaiting full technical details and accompanying press material, but at a glance this appears to be the same ROO Diver with 3120 caliber, only with a new case material and bezel. AP have also (once again) used yellow to accompany one of their Forged Carbon creations. The ROO Diver FC has a yellow minute hand and elapsed dive time scale.

The technology behind the Forged Carbon material is best explained in this VIDEO. Also click to Discover the 2010 AP ROO Diver and its predecessor the ROO Scuba, and see the ROO Diver in action on OceanicTimeTV . . .
