U-BOAT U-42 (teaser)

Early last summer U-Boat released an interesting diver called the U-1942. I was wasn't quite smitten, but certainly intrigued by the 29 piece limited edition watch . . .



This year at Basel World U-Boat will unveil the U-42 a close relative of the U-1942, while still a limited edition it will be produced in far higher numbers, 999 to be precise. The U-42 will come in the very cool presentation box seen below.



A slightly lower 300m depth rating is the only apparent difference that I have spotted between the two editions so far, but I would imgine that this version is going to be considerably smaller than the 65mm U-1942, either way this is great news; stay tuned for more exciting dive watch news from Italo Fontana, soon . . .
