By TLex: New from Germano & Walter is the T~500 (above). One of the most interesting pieces I have come across in a long time. Handcrafted by Pietro Germano of Italy and Alexander Walter of Germany, the T~500 is their second collaboration. In 2005 they produced the Germano & Walter 500m (below) another highly individualistic piece and a homage to the Rolex Deep Sea Special .
From Germano & Walter: The T~500m model was developed from the elaborately crafted case of the first G&W 500m. Its special feature is a revolving bezel with 5-minute divisions.
It is fastened with an additional crown at the "4".The bezel is bidirectional and can be locked at any point. The reliable clamp ensures that the bezel cannot be moved unintentionally.
The bezel ring is screwed onto the bezel by a ring nut, securing it so that it cannot be lost.
This type of fastening and the clamp only work because of the unique G&W case construction.
The T~500m is, like all G&W models, extremely waterproof and highly anti-magnetic.
