BLANCPAIN Fifty Fathoms For 'Ken & Barbie'

By TLex It's interesting scary to hear how Marc Hayek CEO of Blancpain talks about the Fifty Fathoms 2nd side taking a lifestyle / trendy approach with the introduction of Fifty Fathoms new look for 2008! Three variants are available; white, light rose and light blue pastels translating to baby blue and candy floss pink. He goes on to say that the variations are unisex having both masculine and feminine tones. The new dials are made of mother of pearl but the specs and dimensions remain exactly as the 2007 Fifty Fathoms.

The new DLC treated versions including two Speed Commander Chronos are still very much inline with what I would expect from such a fine pedigree.

It does make me laugh though, when people deride other watch companies for being allegedly too fashion orientated, whilst holding the iconic Fifty Fathoms in such esteem. You can't get more fashion than these new offerings. I don't know how many men will be putting the pink or blue one on their wish lists either, but as ladies' pieces they are very appealing.
