ORIS cordially invites us to take a second (bigger) bite of the cherry!
This watch is a little like mixing bacon with ice-cream, you know that the two don’t ever belong together but if you dare to combine them you’re left with something rather tasty.
Here’s another analogy for those of you that abstain from swine meat; dive watches and cherry red go together like bathtubs and toasters, you know that it’s dangerous to mix them but if you do there’re gonna’ be sparks.
You get the picture! Introducing the new Aquis Date Cherry 43.5mm, a FAMILIAR sight from last year only there’s more of it this time around.
Last year, Oris popped their cherry with the introduction of a 41.5mm version of the Aquis Date boasting (of all things) a cherry red dial that was quickly embraced by a fruity collectors market.
That stylish everyday diver with its unidirectional rotating bezel, screw-down crown with protection, lumed hands and hour markers, and water-resistance to 30 bar (300 meters) is back again –
only in a larger 43.5mm case size allowing for even more of that shimmering, Sun-ray, Cherry red dial for all to enjoy – quite literally the cherry on the cake or that bacon ice-ream I was talking about earlier.
The new Aquis Date Cherry 43.5mm from Oris is available from authorized dealers, Worldwide as of June 2022. It has a Swiss MSRP of 2'100CHF.
Thoughts? For all my jolly rhetoric, I f**kin’ hate cherry red (what I meant to say was, that I'm not overly partial to said color. But more importantly what do you think?
