Oris’s combines subtle touches of gold with vibrant blasts of color (rubber variants that is) for those Sun kissed summer days ahead.
The Aquis Date Caliber 400 41.5mm makes a dazzling return with two new executions that have been gloriously garnished with touches of solid gold.
Both the forest green and deep blue variants boast an 18-carat gold finish on the outer edge of their unidirectional rotating diver’s bezels as well as gold-colored hands and indexes.
Even the minutes scale on the green or blue ceramic bezel is golden, completing a cohesive yet coherent look that elevates the Aquis to new heights.
Both watches come with a Stainless steel bracelet and a rubber strap in matching green or blue that can be easily switched using Oris’ patented Quick Strap Change system, without the need for a tool. Housed within the wearable 41.5mm case is the consummate, Oris Caliber 400 automatic, which provides the watch with a high degree of anti-magnetic resistance, five-days of autonomy and 10-year recommended service intervals. As with all Caliber 400 Series watches, both pieces are warrantied for a full decade AKA 10 years when registered with MyOris.
The two new Aquis Date Caliber 400 41.5mm Bi-Color watches are available as of June 2022 and have a Swiss MSRP of 4’000CHF (steel) or 3’900CHF (rubber).
Thoughts? At first glance, I kinda’ sniffed at these because it’s too much color and too much gold for me; however under closer inspection there’s much to like about these, they work.
But what do you think?
