When is a diver’s watch not (quite) a dive watch? When it’s a Kaventsmann!
Something unconventional this way comes from the East German artisan watchmakers, and it’s another entirely hand-made Triggerfish.
That’s right this is now the fifth iteration (in more the five years) of Kaventsmann’s famous Triggerfish watch and it promises to be the most radical yet.
Like any watch creation hailing from the maverick watchmaker, it is beautifully over engineered and then entirely handcrafted in Stainless steel 1.4404 (aisi 316l).
As you can see from the renders the case incorporates a design that is not only spectacular to behold but will offer reduced weight. The watch’s 43.9mm case which is fitted with 12mm, screwed-down Titanium crow is water-resistant to 50bar (500 meter) and is fitted with a hardened mineral crystal. It also boasts a two-piece construction Stainless steel dial, available in a number a colors and finishes that include: satin steel, black cerakote (ceramic coating), red cerakote, yellow cerakote, and turquoise-blue cerakote. The Triggerfish V also comes with a simple patented lug-system with cylindrical bars, allowing for easy strap changes.Powering the Triggerfish V will be Swiss made, self-winding movement with 25 or 26 jewels such as an ETA 2824-2, ETA C07.111, Sellita SW200 or STP equivalent.
All components such as screws, gaskets and the cylindrical bars are easily replaceable and are metric DIN-parts, easily purchased all throughout the World.
You can pre-order the Triggerfish V now from the first batch of 10 pieces. The watches will be ready for shipping around the 1st April 2022. Its list price is 1’490€.
