and that is the release of the obligatory ‘’summer watch’’ – an existing model presented in some new bright color or indeed possessing the complete absence of color AKA pure white – in the hopes of attracting some sales in what is otherwise a relatively quite period.
DOXA celebrates Summer 2021 with the release of a new Sub 200 variant with a pearly white dial and matching bezel inlay – both as bright and white as a set of pearly whites that have just stepped out of a Beverly Hills dentists – this is the new Doxa SUB 200 Whitepearl.
The Sub 200 was unveiled at Baselworld 2019 you remember Baselworld, right - the now defunct watch fair that is hoping to make a digital comeback next year; I digress the 3-hand diver's watch has a case made of high-quality 316L Stainless steel.
With a diameter of 42mm, the SUB 200 is topped with a scratch-resistant Sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating and the distinctive curvature of the domed Plexiglas used back in the day.
Water-resistant to a depth of 200 meters, the model features a unidirectional rotating bezel.
All the elements providing dive-relevant information, except the bezel, have a Super‑LumiNova luminescent coating.
Its bracelet is also in 316L Stainless steel and features a folding clasp with the DOXA fish symbol.
As an alternative a white rubber strap is also offered in the style of Doxa’s famous BOR (beads of rice) bracelet.
MSRP is 990USD.
