Here’s a true Limited Edition from Breitling – yes, you could definitely say that 250 pieces is limited because so often we see 2’000 or more pieces limited editions which still are limited but, 250 - that’s pretty damn exclusive.
Taking its inspiration from the OG Superocean that dates back to the 1950s, the Superocean Heritage beautifully blends historic design features with subtle touches of modernity.
Classic, sporty, elegant even, the Superocean Heritage is a watch that already has so much appeal – but when enhanced with Breitling’s so-called black steel treatment (DLC-coating) and a stunning sunray dial in dark green – it’s positively goosebumps inducing.
The watch’s 44mm in diameter DLC-Coated Stainless steel case comes with a ratcheted diver’s bezel, a domed Sapphire (glare-proofed on both sides), a screw-down case-back and crown and is water-resistant to 200m.
Powering the 250 piece Limited Edition is Breitling’ s 47 jewel, B01 Manufacture self-winding movement with a 1/4th second chrono-function and a power-reserve of approx. 70hrs. This can be viewed through an exhibition case-back.
Finally the watch is presented on rubber diver’s strap inspired by an old school Milanese me shark-mesh bracelet.
Now for the bad news or perhaps it’s good news if your wallet can’t handle it – the watch is ONLY available in the United States, where it has an MSRP of 9’250USD excl. sale tax.
Thoughts? I have to admit I find the watch’s dark green chrono face super attractive – if only there were some other similarly pretty, green-faced, vintage-inspired diving chronograph propositions out there – perhaps one is on the way very soon?
Okay, I’ve said too much already – WATCH THIS SPACE, folks!
At this Price I go for a rolex
