SEIKO Prospex 1975 DIVER’s Re-Creation SLA041J1

This is the new Prospex 1975 Diver’s Re-Creation ref. SLA041J1 (JP ref. SBDX035) part of a TRILOGY due for release this summer.

Design-wise this is a faithful recreation of the OG model from 1975 with all the features and innovations that Seiko brought to diver's watches in the 1970's.

These include its double layer construction with one piece inner Titanium case, the L-shaped gasket for Helium resistance and its accordion-style diver’s strap – all found on the OG model.

However it has been well and truly brought up to date for 2020, so gets a new bezel made from Seiko’s Ever-Brilliant Steel.

It also has a brand new shroud made from high-tech Zirconia Ceramic which is seven times harder than steel thus protecting the case from any shocks.

In addition to this, its water-resistance has been increased to 1000m, and it has a special dial made from soft iron so that it has an increased anti-magnetic resistance of 40,000 a/m.

The 1975 Diver’s Re-Creation SLA041J1 is Limited Edition of 1,100 pieces and will be available from August 2020. It has a Japanese MSRP of 450'00 JPY + Tax.
