Here’s another quick look at the STC watch AKA, the Certina DS Action Diver Sea Turtle Conservancy, Special Edition along with some new pics.
The watch commemorates Certina’s membership in the Sea Turtle Conservancy, which is dedicated to the conservation of Sea Turtles and their habitats.
The STC was first established in 1959, exactly 60 years ago, also the same year that Certina debuted their Double Security AKA DS Concept.
The ISO 6425-certified STC watch is water-resistant to 300 meters, and has a screw-down crown and case-back with O-ring seals as well as a diver’s bezel with a SLN coated dive-time scale.
Power comes from an ETA Powermatic 80 movement with its impressive 80-hours of power-reserve.
The blue seconds hand and WR text is a nod to the Sea Turtle Conservancy, the official logo of which is featured on the watch’s case-back.
The DS Action Diver Sea Turtle Conservancy comes in a Special Edition watch-box with an STC 60th Anniversary engraved name plate as well as a DS Turtle key-chain.
