Breitling can call this an aviation watch all day long but with its diver’s bezel complete with the brand’s signature rider-tabs, the large knurled crown and healthy level of water-resistance –



I am in no doubt that this new Avenger belongs here just as much as its big brother the SEAWOLF does. What do you think?



The Breitling Avenger Automatic 43 has a clean, discreet dial with central hour, minute, and second hands and a date window positioned at 3 o’clock.



It features a 43mm Stainless steel case with a unidirectional ratcheted bezel. Beating inside the case is a Breitling Caliber 17, an automatic movement with a power-reserve of approximately 38 hours.



The COSC-certified chronometer is offered with either a black or blue dial. Its indexes and hands are coated with SLN, which Breitling says offers outstanding legibility in all lighting conditions.



The Avenger Automatic 43 models are presented on anthracite or blue leather military straps with a pin or folding buckle or on a Stainless steel link bracelets with a folding diver’s clasps.



Thoughts? This is a lovely clean looking diver, sorry aviation watch. The new 43mm size is right in the sweet spot, too.
