DEEP BLUE DAYNIGHT RECON Swiss GMT [hot travelling companion]

One of DEEP BLUE’s hottest models is back for the summer, and this time it’s equipped with a fancy Swiss GMT movement. If you’re planning on holidaying abroad this summer, there could be no better reason / excuse why you might need to get yourself another diver’s watch. At least that’s what I’ll be telling the missus. And the new Day Night Recon Diver from DB which is now powered by a Swiss made ETA 2893-2 automatic GMT movement and is packing no less than 68x Tritium T-100 gas tubes just might fit the bill. Its Swiss ETA 2893-2 caliber provides accurate and reliable timekeeping for two separate time zones. The 21 jewel movement also boasts a beat-rate of 28’800vph as well as approx. 2x days of autonomy. The dual time zones can be seen clearly no matter the lighting conditions thanks to all those glorious gas tubes which include: 61x dial tubes, 6x hands tubes and a single 12 o’clock pip tritium tube on the bezel. There is also a lovely wave patter dial with a chapter ring for the 2nd time-zone. So if you wake up in the middle of the night in a hot sweat, from your hammock in the tropics wondering whether or not you’ve remembered to do x y or z, or not. You can first check to see what time it is back home before making that phone call! Meanwhile the Day Night Recons diving prowess will stand you in great stead when you hit the beach, the reef or the pool bar the next day. The watch comes with a solid 316L Stainless steel case which is water-resistant to 500 meters and is equipped with a sapphire crystal as well as 120-click diver’s bezel with a black SLN-lumed ceramic bezel inlay. The watch also comes with an exhibition case-back affording a view of the mechanical work within, namely the very handy 2893-2. Dimensions btw include a 45mm diameter x 53mm lug to lug x 16mm case thickness. The dial aperture is 33mm while the lug width is 22mm. Finally the Day Night Recon GMT comes on full steel bracelet with: 3x micro adjustments, half links, full links, screw-in links, 4.5mm thick, and a diver’s safety clasp with a push-button deployant. http://www.deepbluewatches.com/
