EVEREST Horology STRAPS [summit the peak]

Welcome to the wonderful world of EVEREST BANDS where all your wristwatch accessorizing dreams can come true!

There are strap makers and there are strap makers, and then there is Everest bands, purveyors of arguably the highest quality third party premium watch bands in the luxury watch segment.

Straps that have been engineered to fit absolutely flawlessly with some the most iconic sports models from Rolex, Tudor and Panerai but also for a far broader segment as they offer many other straps besides.

Not only have Everest bands been specifically designed and created in Switzerland to be paired and fitted to some of the greatest sports and diver’s models from Rolex, Tudor and Panerai such as Submariners, Black Bays and Submersibles.

But they also offer a collection of universal straps to suit pretty much all wristwatches that have no-doubt been made to the same exacting standards as those offered for the three aforementioned prestigious names.

So let’s dive in and take a closer look. Everest have spent years developing and honing their strap making skills; employing new materials and evolving their designs so that they can sit perfectly between the lugs and fit flush against the cases of all your favorite sports and diver’s models. Everest Horology is a brand that had a quite a unique start in life. The brainchild of the now CEO and head of product development, Michael DiMartini who on the day of his son’s birth conceptualized Everest Horology as brand that could at last cater to the neglected Rolex wearers of the world.

Because anyone who owns a Submariner knows that Rolex offers any strap or bracelet option you could ever dream of as long as it’s a steel Oyster bracelet!

Whenever you see Submariner shod in anything other than steel, it has to have come from a third party strap maker and Michael DiMartini wanted Everest to be that strap maker every time.

Thanks to their innovate products offering only the highest quality materials, Everest has given Rolex owners all the variety, all the versatility and indeed all the flexibility that this great yet famously stubborn brand has been lacking when it comes to strap accessories.

Everest has grown to offer a plethora of strap and watch accessories for pretty much every modern Rolex in existence.

However they have since expanded their product line to cater for several Tudor and Panerai models as well, and could even add other well-known brands to their portfolio in the future.

Where Everest truly excels is when it comes to their own waterproof and long-lasting rubber straps.

These boast not only excellent resistance to UV rays, excessive heat and cold, stretching, tearing, dirt and dust, abrasions, chemicals, and staining but are also supremely soft while remaining incredibly tough and durable.

Everest's rubber straps have been meticulously designed to create a flawless case connection to your watch.

Their easy-to-install, curved end rubber strap is strengthened by a permanent, hardened plastic insert embedded within the rubber at the case connection point.

The deployant style bands incorporate whatever deployant clasp or buckle that you are using and are available in multiple size combinations to custom fit your watch and your wrist.

The deployant strap also incorporates your easy link or diver extension if applicable. Everest rubber can be found in several colors. For example the Rolex line’s color options include:

black, blue, gray, green and orange while there are also several colors including orange for many of the Tudor models as well.

In addition to rubber straps, Everest also offer some exceptional leather options and have incorporated some of their sportier innovations from rubber into their leather bands such as their use of plastics inserts into the lug ends of their leather straps thus creating a seamless case connection while giving your strap a handsome new look. Meanwhile the growing trend for NATO straps hasn’t passed Everest by either. They offer NATOs such as those famously striped ones worn on countless vintage Rolex’s and have an extensive collection of beautifully made, premium quality NATOs in several styles, colors and sizes to suit all tastes.

Thoughts? When you buy a decent car, it goes without saying that you are going to want to put some decent tires on it. Well, it’s much the same thinking when choosing some new rubber for your high-end Rolex or Tudor.

You could go cheap but you’d be far better off spending a little extra and getting a strap that closely mimics the quality, the look ‘n’ feel and the style of your watch.

So that you are subconsciously fooled into believing that you’re wearing actual Rolex, Tudor or Panerai rubber rather than something that ends up your cheapening your otherwise sublime Swiss watch wearing experience.

I’ve experienced Everest rubber first hand with the Monta Seaking and it was top notch!
