Plunge into the ocean with the Atlantik 39 from Laco! 

Here’s a trendy new compact diver’s model with a bit of a sting in its tail from the almost a century old German watchmaker, Laco.

That’s because each of the new models from Laco’s new mid-sized “Scorpions” family gets an engraved motif of the stingy little critter on its case-back. The collection offers five individual colorways; four of which are available right now with the fifth due out next year.

Blue invokes the surging ocean, green the dense foliage of the jungle, orange the burning desert sands and old tritium for a mountain adventure. 

In response to numerous customer requests, Laco are now adding new midsize versions to their "Scorpion" sports watch series.

With their reduced diameter of 39 millimeters, the four timepieces are ideal for slimmer wrists. 

The sporty look, the technical details, and the color and strap variants are taken from the larger models.

And the names are also reminiscent of the already familiar members of the series: Himalaya, Mojave, Amazon and Atlantik. 

The watches are available now at a price of 930€ (with rubber strap) or 980€ (with metal bracelet).

Thoughts? Compact, yes. But bijou they are not. While these models are indeed smaller variants of the Laco Scorpions they are just as bold and every bit as rugged as their bigger brothers. 

At 39mm these watches will find favor with both ladies and gents. The only problem is which of the enticing  variants to choose from?
