New York Harbor was once considered to be one of the most polluted waterways; however thanks to projects like the Billion Oyster Project, oysters are thriving there.

This is Oris’s new Limited Edition Aquis diver which backs Billion Oyster Project, a hugely ambitious non-profit aimed at restoring one billion oysters to New York Harbor.

This summer, Oris’s mission continues in collaboration with Billion Oyster Project, a non-profit restoring New York Harbor, once one of the World’s most polluted waterways.

To support the project’s pioneering work, Oris has released the New York Harbor Limited Edition, a 2,000-piece Limited Edition watch based on their high-performance Aquis diver’s watch.

Its special features include a green mother- of-pearl dial, inspired by the color of the famous harbor’s water, and by oyster shell.

If you flip the watch over you’ll discover that its case-back sports an engraved motif depicting the crusty-shelled briny mollusks, a first on Aquis!

To match the its sea green MOP dial, the Aquis New York Harbor LE comes with a green rubber strap plus an additional multi-piece stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp with extension.

If you took a suitable shucker to the watch’s back you’d discover the Oris 733 automatic caliber with its power-reserve 38 hours housed within the 300m case.

The new Aquis New York Harbor Limited Edition watch is available now. It has a Swiss MSRP of CHF 2,400.

Thoughts? Despite oysters being a so called aphrodisiac - I ‘m not entirely sure just how sexy this Aquis is? You be the judge.
