DOXA Sub 600T [comprehensive collection]

DOXA’s ‘80s baby returns to the SUB fold after more than 40 years!

In case you missed it Doxa dropped an intriguing ‘80s throwback Limited Edition watch this summer called the Sub 600T PACIFIC BLUE which quickly sold out.

After the huge success of that limited, Titanium edition SUB 600T Pacific Blue, DOXA has decided to bring out the SUB 600T in a comprehensive, non-limited edition collection completing the Sub family’s line-up.

Rather than Titanium, this reborn SUB 600T collection has been realized in good old fashioned Stainless steel just like your grandmother used to make it (or maybe not).

However it offers the choice of a Stainless steel or black ceramic bezel insert, as well as those six classic dial colors that have become synonymous with Doxa’s Sub family and are known as:

Professional (orange), Sharkhunter (black), Searambler (silver), Carribean (blue), Divingstar (yellow) and Aquamarine (turquoise).

No matter steel or ceramic, the Sub 600T bezel is marked with Doxa’s iconic patented, non- decompression stops scale in addition to a regular elapsed dive-time scale.

In addition to the bezel and dial options the Sub 600T can be spec’d with either; a Stainless-steel bracelet or an FKM rubber strap color-coded to match the dial – offering a total of 24 combinations.

The SUB 600T with 3 hands and date remains true as ever to the aesthetic of the SUB 600T that defined DOXA in the 80s and became an icon of its era.

At just 40mm, the case diameter of the DOXA SUB 600T remains unchanged from the OG watch – making it the smallest Sub in the family.

Constructed from 316L Stainless steel and topped with a Sapphire crystal, the case, and the movement that it is housed within, is pressure-resistant to 60 bar (600 meters).

The crown remains strategically placed at 4 o'clock and the patented rotating bezel unidirectional as it should be – to calculate a safe ascent without decompression stops.

The bezel, with dual indication of the dive time (minutes) and depth (feet), can be ordered either with a sandblasted steel insert or with a black ceramic insert.

All dive-related indications are coated with luminescent Super-LumiNova®, including the distinctive ‘shark tooth’ markers at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o'clock, for optimal readability in low light conditions.

This collection is available with a tone-on-tone rubber strap to match the dial color or with the new 316L stainless steel bracelet that brings a ‘modern vintage’ touch to the DOXA collection.

The FKM rubber strap features a new clasp: it looks like a pin buckle, but it is actually a folding buckle for quick, convenient and comfortable adjustment to the owner's wrist.

Of course, the exclusive ‘DOXA Fish’ symbol is featured as well. MSRP is from 1,350 (steel bezel + rubber) to 1,490 (ceramic bezel + steel).

Thoughts? Damn, it’s a shame that they didn’t do more of these in Titanium, and it’s a pity but 40mm is gonna’ be a wee bit small for some of us but I’m all over the 80s styling with diamond indexes and that angular case – freshhh!

But what do you think?
