Did Luminox just debut its most classically styled diver’s watch to date with the introduction of their new 2021 automatic diver’s watch series, the Automatic Sport Timer 0921 and 0924?
Judge for yourselves – this is the Luminox Auto Sport Timer which combines an automatic mechanical movement with a sporty vintage style.
The model which is available as 0921 with a black dial, black bezel and black leather band or 0924 with a blue dial, blue bezel and Stainless steel bracelet –
is water-resistant up to 200 meters, and unlike so many of this famous Swiss brand’s models, it even has a Sapphire crystal.
Its 42mm in diameter by 13mm (thick), 316L Stainless steel case is encompassed by a rotating Stainless steel diver’s bezel with a ceramic inlay which is color-coded to its dial.
Meanwhile a screw-down crown nestled in the middle of an integrated crown-guard and a screw-down case-back complete the watch’s classic diver appearance.
Like any other Luminox, these two Auto Sport Timer models boast the brand’s proprietary LLT self-illumination technology that can glow uncharged 24/7 for 25yrs!
Each of the watches has been individually tested to a water-resistance of 200 meters, 20 ATM, 660 feet and is powered by an automatic movement.
That movement is the 2824 equivalent from Sellita, SW-220 with a French day/date feature and a custom black-coated Luminox rotor than can be seen through the watch’s Sapphire back.
MSRP is 1,365USD (strap) or 1,425USD (steel).
Thoughts? These classic designs are quite unlike your typical Luminox, so at their price-point this would put them up against something like an Oris Aquis Date, and I just don’t see how anyone would take one of these over one of those unless they really wanted those tritium gas tubes.
But what do think; one of these or an Oris Aquis Date?
Lógicamente planteado por usted, quien quiera luz en su esfera todo el tiempo, a por este Luminox. Para mi el Oris.
