CIRCULA SuperSport COMING THIS SUMMER

Circula has a new diver’s model on the way with a compressor-function!

The family-run watch company, founded in 1955 and based in Pforzheim, Germany has been working on their second diver’s model with the help of some friends from the famous German watch forum, Uhrforum.

Something that the Circular are particularly proud of about their new SuperSport is that it is not simply a Super-Compressor-style watch (i.e. with dual two crowns and inner rotating bezel), but it boasts a real compressor-function.

Thus, the case back is compressed by water-pressure for increased sealing, the deeper you go. As for its design, the SuperSport lives up to its name as a super-compressor taking its inspiration from models hailing from the mid-last century yet modernized with some sportier elements.

The case will have a diameter of approx. 39mm and a water-resistance of 200 meters or more.

Meanwhile a Sapphire crystal guarantees a scratch-free view onto the dial, which is equipped with Swiss Super-LumiNova.

A high-quality mechanical movement with an automatic winding mechanism from Sellita of Switzerland will ensure precise time display. Like all mechanical Circula watches, the SuperSport will also be built in Pforzheim, Germany.

Pre-orders will begin in the summer of 2021 before with the watch is shipments in the autumn. During the pre-order phase, the new SuperSport will be available in the brand's online shop for 699 euros, including two straps, a steel bracelet and a Tropic rubber strap. Later it will cost a further €100.

Thoughts? Super-Compressors are still few and far between; Christopher Ward recently released a very COOL ONE but this will be a very welcome offering particularly at its price-point. Until the Summer!
