MIDO Ocean Star 200C

Fancy your Ocean Star 200C with a bit more pep?

For 2021 Mido’s entry level auto diver has had a bit of an update with some high-tech components as well as the possibility of a COSC movement – oh, I almost forgot and a splash of trendy green, too!

Mido has finally introduced one of the watchmaking’s most resilient materials to their Ocean Star 200C diver family with the introduction of a green ceramic bezel. Meanwhile a new green dial has been decorated with a textured ripple-effect texture with individually applied indexes coated with white SuperLuminova. Btw it also comes in blue or grey. This Ocean Star 200C is of course (as its name suggests) water resistant up to 20 bar, with the case shape providing extra protection for its screw-down crown which is securely nestled within an integrated guard. Flip the watch over and there’s a screw-down case-back which has been engraved with the Ocean Star starfish and wave pattern logo. Power comes from the Caliber 80 from Mido, a next-generation automatic watch movement which offers up to 80 hours of power reserve, which is twice as much as a regular caliber. The Caliber 80 is also available as a chronometer that has been officially certified by the COSC (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres) for its superior accuracy.

Basic specifications include: a Stainless steel case measuring 42.5mm in diameter with a case height of 12.25mm.

Further diver’s features include: a unidirectional rotational diver’s bezel with said ceramic inlay with dive-time scale as well as a Sapphire crystal with double sided anti-reflection treatment.

The new Ocean Star 200C comes on a 22mm Stainless link bracelet and is available in three references: blue, green or grey.
