Doxa has released its first model made from forged carbon!
The official name for this watch is actually a bit of a mouthful - Sub 300 Sharkhunter Carbon Aqua Lung US Divers. Its ref. is 822.70.101AQL.20
The new Sub 300 Carbon Aqua Lung US diver’s sees Doxa forging a new path with their most high-tech, diver’s model to date.
Made in partnership with Aqua Lung, the Sub 300 Carbon has been released in a Limited Series of just 300 timepieces, each powered by COSC-certified caliber.
The watch boasts a case made from ultralight, highly corrosion –resistant, black forged carbon itself composed of layers of compressed carbon.
As well as the watch case, both the screw-down crown and the diver’s bezel with its iconic Doxa-patented no-decompression scale have been crafted from forged carbon.
Splashes of yellow can be found: on the dial in the form of a prominent min. hand, the Aqua Lung logo, on the bezel’s dive-time scale and once again on the signed crown.
Based on Doxa’s classic cushion design, the Sub 300 carbon measures; 42.5mm in diameter by 13.4mm thick. It weighs just 87.6 grams.
Being a Sharkhunter, the Sub 300 Carbon has a black dial – this is the perfect backdrop for the special yellow Aqua Lung logo that it proudly sports between 7 and 8h.
Power comes from an ETA caliber 2824-2 COSC certified chronometer running at 4Hz with a custom Doxa rotor, 25 jewels, and a power-reserve of approx. 42hrs.
Further features include: a box-shaped, Sapphire crystal, a Titanium case-back, a 20mm rubber diver’s strap with a black PVD Stainless steel bush-button clasp. WR is 300m.
