As part of the Core Diver GMT’s testing each of the watches has been immersed in water and tested up to a pressure of 2000 feet.
Special features of the Core Diver GMT include a Sapphire unidirectional rotating bezel with its hour-markers filled with seven layers of Swiss C3 Lume.
Powering the watch is a regulated Swiss automatic movement, the SOPROD C12 with a beat rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of 42 hours.
Just 50 units per color have been made of the Core Diver GMT. All are stamped with a unique serial number out of a total of 200.
The Core Diver GMT has a brushed finished 316L Stainless steel case; however one of the models “Blue Steel” gets a special blued DLC coating.
Divers features include: HEV, 4mm AR-treated Sapphire crystal, bezel with Sapphire inlay and lumed dive-time scale, a screw-down case-back and crown and a water-resistance of 600m.
Dimensions of the Core Diver GMT are as follows: a diameter of 44mm (excluding crown), a case thickness of 15.6mm, a Lug-To-Lug measurement of 50mm and a lug width of 22mm.
The watches are delivered Stainless steel Milanese shark mesh bracelets with solid links for sizing and diver’s clasp. An additional leather band with contrast stitching is included.
The Ocean Crawler Core Diver GMT is listed for 1’599USD. There is no extra cost for the Blue Steel variant.
Thoughts? I’m partial to a cushion diver but there is something niggling me about this one. I’m not a huge fan of the bezel and the green in particular looks a bit cheap.
The prehistoric ocean critter on the back should be bigger, too. Just shy of 16 hundred dollars is a quite optimistic. Surprisingly the Zoolander special is actually the best looking of the bunch.
